Contractor Portal Enhancements for Broward County Ordinance Requirements
Great news! We've made it easier for you to provide the information required by the new Broward County ordinance. You now have more options to attest to the project cost — including a quick entry via the Email Application card in the Contractor Portal.
For more details, we've updated the Broward County Process training document and video to guide you through the requirements. You can access them anytime by going to your Contractor Portal → Support → Training.
Reminder: Broward County Ordinance Effective March 31, 2025
On January 28, 2025, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve a new ordinance that will apply to all residential PACE assessments. This ordinance is currently in effect. This ordinance applies to all R-PACE providers and participating contractors. For Broward County projects only, the ordinance requires:
- Project Cost Attestation: Contractors will be required to provide a breakdown of project cost and attest that the total costs align with the average costs for similar projects in the Tri-County area. To make this easy you can attest in the Contractor Portal or over the phone. In addition, you can provide your cost breakdown of materials and labor in the portal, via text, email or phone or upload your Home Improvement Contract (HIC) showing the cost details.
- Welcome Calls: ALL property owners will be required to complete the Welcome Call, which may be completed via a conference call with all property owners present or individual calls.
